It has been a while since we posted something on the blog but sometimes life gets in the way, but now I will try to get back into the flow of things. I have realized that I need to photograph Genesis more in our every day life, to have something to look back at in 10 years with her. It is so easy to take pictures with our phones and load them on Facebook or Instagram but I need to start putting the phone away and use my camera and better my skills as I go.
Here is a little activity we love to do, read! She gets stuck on one book and expects daddy and I to read it over and over again.
We decided to spend Memorial Day in Washington D.C., which is just an hour drive from where we live. The night before my husband planned it all out: we would go to the parade at 2 PM and then to the symphony concert at 8 PM. We made it to Capital Hill where the concert was going to be held, and we didn’t see many people in the area, so I went online to check the actual concert time, and it turns out it was at 8PM the day before!!!!! Our trip didn’t go as planned but we still enjoyed walking around and getting to know DC.

May is National Scrapbook Month and the lovely folks at Cricut are offering access to two brand new scrapbook layout cartridges: The First Few Years and When I Was a Kid. Each of these cartridges feature 50 scrapbook page layouts and all the elements you’ll need to make them. Create the pages as shown, or customize the templates to fit your own style.
