Mother’s Day is right around the corner, are you ready? I bet she would LOVE something homemade from the heart. I personally enjoy making cards with a sweet message inside. Here are a couple I’ve made in recent years: -Holly- … Continue reading →
I have been making pictures of Henry since February 2012 using Cricut cut-outs and now I have the option to do iron-on vinyl and customize any outfit for my photos! Cricut gave a challenge to its blog group to make … Continue reading →
We had the opportunity to try out Cricut’s new Iron On Vinyl, and we absolutely love it! Holly and I usually incorporate some sort of Cricut cut out into our pictures, they give it the personal touch we need, and … Continue reading →
Holly has always inspired me and pushes my creativity to the next level. So when I saw the nest post for our site I couldn’t help myself, I just had to try it out too. Many times we browse the internet for ideas and inspiration but always want to make it our own and I think this is a great example on how to take a photograph that you love and recreate it with your own twist. If you haven’t seen the original post click here and be prepared to see so over the top cuteness!!!!
To create this picture I took a 4 x 2 bench I had at home and a yard of brown burlap, which I placed on the front ledge to give it a branch look, and used thumbtacks to keep it in place. I was careful to make sure not to place the nest over a leg of the bench; I wanted to give it the floating effect.
Hey guys! We are back from our little trip to San Diego, one of my favorite places in the US. Although we did not make it to every destination we had on our list, like Sea World and San Diego Zoo, Genesis and I still got to go to some of my favorite places and had some mini photo sessions, and I just wanted to share my favorite pictures! I hope you all love them, or at least enjoy them as much as I do! ☺

I started doing @FatMuslim’s photo a day on Instagram, and day three’s theme was key. Doing a search for #photoaday I saw many pictures of car and house keys, but I wanted to do something different, so I made Henry into a wind up toy.
two empty toilet paper rolls
hot glue gun/glue (not pictured)
safety pin (not pictured)
cut one toilet paper roll in half using scissors
wrap each piece in aluminum foil
hot glue the smaller circles next to each other and then those onto the end of the other roll
Now just use a safety pin to attach it to a belt.
Or for a girl, you can wrap ribbon around her waist, pinning this to the ribbon
Sometimes I focus more on taking pictures of Genesis with a specific scene rather than our everyday activities. So I decided to whip out my camera during bath time, and I’m in love with what I captured. So now when she’s older and tells me she doesn’t like baths, I have proof that she does!
