Elf on the Shelf

Holly and I were fortunate enough to get asked by Cricut to create an Elf on the Shelf scene using out machine but easy enough so people who may not have a machine can recreate and this is what we came up with. We inspire each other so much and we always try to bounce our ideas off each other and end up making thing better than originally planned. Hope you guy enjoy them as much as we did making them. If you want to see the instruction on how to make your very own our tutorials are featured here.

Its been a while….

It has been a while since we posted something on the blog but sometimes life gets in the way, but now I will try to get back into the flow of things. I have realized that I need to photograph Genesis more in our every day life, to have something to look back at in 10 years with her. It is so easy to take pictures with our phones and load them on Facebook or Instagram but I need to start putting the phone away and use my camera and better my skills as I go.

Here is a little activity we love to do, read! She gets stuck on one book and expects daddy and I to read it over and over again.

Memorial Day in D.C

memorial day-3We decided to spend Memorial Day in Washington D.C., which is just an hour drive from where we live. The night before my husband planned it all out: we would go to the parade at 2 PM and then to the symphony concert at 8 PM. We made it to Capital Hill where the concert was going to be held, and we didn’t see many people in the area, so I went online to check the actual concert time, and it turns out it was at 8PM the day before!!!!! Our trip didn’t go as planned but we still enjoyed walking around and getting to know DC.
