Holly has always inspired me and pushes my creativity to the next level. So when I saw the nest post for our site I couldn’t help myself, I just had to try it out too. Many times we browse the internet for ideas and inspiration but always want to make it our own and I think this is a great example on how to take a photograph that you love and recreate it with your own twist. To create this picture I took a 4 x 2 bench I had at home and a yard of brown burlap, which I placed on the front ledge to give it a branch look, and used thumbtacks to keep it in place. I was careful to make sure not to place the nest over a leg of the bench; I wanted to give it the floating effect.
